Wow.  This has been a FUN month you guys.  Does it sound obnoxious if I say life with The Wee One just keeps getting better and better? He’s been showing off more of his silly and sweet personality this month, and just recently he’s started rocking and rolling around on his own.  We still haven’t had the OFFICIAL tummy to back roll-over that everyone waits for, but we have found him on his tummy once in his crib and just recently, he has decided that side sleeping is his thing.

I love seeing what position he’s in when he wakes up every morning.

He’s also started screeching, shrieking, and SCREAMing with joy.  It’s pretty adorable but VERY loud.  The Wee One loves to communicate with us and we love to hear him happy so it’s great, but on the other hand, I’ve never heard another baby this young be so loud.  Is this common?  It could be.  I don’t know a lot of babies!  For a guy with such a low-pitched giggle, his screams are pretty high-pitched which makes us all laugh.  I have to get it on video at some point, because the way he kicks his legs and jerks his body while screaming is also hysterical.

Biggest Struggles This Month:

staying asleep (baby)

thrush – it still comes and goes (mom)

sleep regression (dad)

Biggest Accomplishments This Month:

swaddle transition (baby)

nap time schedule (mom)

solo-parenting at night, bath and bedtime (dad)

Here are the pictures from this month’s photo shoot.  The book is called “The Pigeon Needs a Bath!”  He actually spit up all over his onesie during the photo shoot which definitely fits the theme.

This next picture is beautiful and not just because I’m in it, haha.  The Scottish managed to capture The Wee One’s essence.  Look at his eyes, it’s just lovely.

Can we also discuss how my hair is coming in darker postpartum?  I know your hair can change after pregnancy but I was not prepared for this!  #stillablonde

And finally, double chins are not only acceptable but also adorable on babies.  No fair!  🙂

Such cute photos! The Wee One looks so happy! Do you think you could share how you got him on a nap time schedule. I have a 3 month old and am really struggling with day time naps. And sorry to hear that the thrush is back 🙁

That is a great idea! I will have to do a nap post. Hopefully it will be helpful to you, I know those daytime naps can be tough for some babies. Thanks, we’re back on meds for the thrush, ugh, I’m sick of it!

The noise…yes..Makenna was about 3-4 months old when she started as her parents labeled it “the pterodactyl screech” . I think it’s cute!!! But Grammies think everything is cute!!

He’s sooo cute! Love those twinkly eyes. Such an adorable family! And as far as I’m concerned, you’re still blonde. 🙂
