Guys, I am so in LOVE with these photos and I’m so excited to share them with you today. Truthfully, it was a stretch for us to find room in our budget for professional photographs this summer. Summer time gets so expensive, doesn’t it? But I will treasure these memories forever and I do not regret taking them at all. While The Scottish has done a great job with our previous month photo shoots, i wanted all three of us together for a change!
Plus, we absolutely love working with our photographer Annie. She just shot The Glue and The Tape’s wedding and she also did our newborn shoot last July! Her energy and heart and awesome talent make her so much fun and very easy to work with.
We shot these at Fort Snelling in St. Paul, MN on a lovely Wednesday morning. All photos by Annie Wiegers Photography.
Midway through the photo shoot we realized The Wee One’s finger was bleeding. Oops, how did that happen! We think he cut himself on a branch or twig while crawling. Such a trooper though, he didn’t even notice! We stopped for some first aid but then it was back to smiling for the camera!
I was so happy we were able to use my tassel garland craft as the background of his cake smash! I ended up buying wooden stakes from Home Depot to hang it from and they worked perfectly.
The cake smash ended up slightly anti-climatic. He pawed at his cake and touched his face a few times but didn’t eat anything. It was his first experience with cake and frosting, and if you’ll remember his birthday party was much of the same, but The Wee One has since eaten cake at a friend’s birthday party. Success!
Phew, I guess I had a lot of favorites!
I promise this is the last Wee One birthday related post but what a great way to end the DH blog festivities in my opinion. Our little guy is officially 13 months old, please insert typical mom phrase about how fast time flies. 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the photos!
