I’m pregnant!! Yay!! The Wee One will be 19 and a half months old when his sibling arrives, hence, the 2 kids are under 2 years of age social media announcement. As I’ve told people in person, I usually start by saying, “I have some news” And before I can finish, they’ve interrupted me with, “Are you pregnant?” Yep.
It was a slight surprise to us as my cycle was being wonky from breastfeeding and I couldn’t chart but it was the BEST surprise really. I told The Scottish I didn’t want to schedule for baby number two if possible, and after our camping trip in late June, I saw those two pink lines. WOW, another little one on the way! I proceeded to take an embarrassing amount of tests off and on for the next week or so.
We first found out on a Monday and on our evening drive to The Wee One’s swim lessons later that day, The Scottish and I confided to each other a few similar questions. How will this work financially? How will being a big brother affect The Wee One? Are we crazy to have two kids close together? Will we ever sleep again? etc. We both felt better after chatting, and ever since we’ve been over-the-moon happy about our expanding family. We feel blessed to have been able to conceive easily and we don’t take that for granted. This is such an exciting time in our lives and we are incredibly grateful.
I’m 15 weeks right now, due on March 6th. The Scottish’s birthday is March 4th and our anniversary is March 9th so it will be a busy but fun month for us. 🙂
Being pregnant this time has been different in many ways and the same in many ways and I can’t wait to share more along the way!
