I’m feeling really low energy this week so I’m going to keep this post simple and photo-heavy.

We just had a relatively warm autumn for Minnesota and now we are having a very mild winter which I’m really enjoying!  Minnesota’s first major snowfall was a bit later than usual this year and it’s already melted and gone!

But before it left I got The Wee One all bundled up one afternoon and when Grandma MN stopped by she helped him make his first snowman (snowperson?).  Yay!

The snow rolled and packed up perfectly.

I can’t get enough of these cheeks.

The other day we went to visit Santa at the MOA.  I just love their setup there, the Santa looks so classic and they take a ton of pictures so you have plenty of options to choose from, and the scene they create is beautiful.  At the end, they give the kids a token to put into a machine to see if they’ve been naughty or nice.  And then bubbles (snow) come out as the needle points to “nice.”

This year, The Wee One went for the traditional look of crying on Santa’s lap and we ended up joining him so we could get a few photos of him not crying. But we had to purchase this one where he is trying to escape.  Crying on Santa’s lap is a rite of passage and we wanted to remember it always!  Plus, he looks so darn cute.  And Santa Claus looks so calm, haha.

I love that Santa picture, and I agree, you have to have at least one crying Santa picture in your lifetime! We’re taking our 3 month old daughter Saturday, I have no idea how it’s going to go.
