Hey guys! It’s been a while hasn’t it?? 🙂
I figured I should probably check in on my small slice of the internet and make sure it’s doing OK. Looks a bit dusty around here and sounds pretty quiet but all is well! Here’s hoping all is well with you guys too! Unfortunately, this isn’t going to be a rejuvenating post filled with ambitious plans to start back up with more frequent blogging. The time has come, and it finally feels right to close this chapter of my life, at least for now. I won’t get into specifics, but basically I don’t have the same time, energy, or desire to continue writing here that I once had, thus I will be done blogging at Drama Happens indefinitely. I will say that I arrived at this decision with a very heavy heart.
But you guys. I’ve had the best time. Blogging has opened so many doors for me and changed my life in a profound way. It has provided a wonderful artistic outlet and given me countless new friendships. Drama Happens has been a space I’ve loved sharing with all of you and I’m so grateful to everyone who has ever read even a single blog post of mine. If you’ve followed me since Weddingbee (hello and thank you!) then you’ve probably seen my writing change over the years. I know I look back in embarrassment at some of my older stuff, but I also know that was all part of my journey. I’ve done so much in the last four years, I’ve explored relationships, shared my opinions, documented my children’s lives, and told an interesting story or two. Plus, I’m not leaving the blogging world altogether! If you’re interested in my parenting stories and updates, I’m still contributing at Hellobee. You can find me HERE.
My new artistic goal is to jump back into the world of acting and get more involved in the theatre once again and my old, long-term artistic goal is to write a novel or a children’s book. Someday. 🙂 In the meantime I strive to always live in the moment and be joyful and grateful for these two precious boys I have the honor of calling my sons.
All photos by the amazing Annie Wiegers Photography and I seriously wish I could share them all!
Please feel free to leave one last comment, I do read each and every one of them and always try to respond! And I wish you luck on whatever personal, professional, artistic, or otherwise goal you might be setting out to achieve. I believe in you. Thanks for reading and see you later.
