Hi everybody, Happy Monday! I’m still not feeling 100% myself in regards to weaning but I would say I’m starting to think a bit more positively.  Distraction is working well most of the time, but some mornings The Wee One sobs and pulls on my shirt and that just breaks my heart into a million pieces.  The Scottish is always nearby to help and he keeps reminding me that I have to think of what I’m gaining with The Wee One instead of what I’m losing  Easier said than done, but I’m working on Read more […]

Technically, The Scottish doesn’t turn 31 until Wednesday but we celebrated his birthday this past weekend.  If you follow me on Instagram, you know The Scottish and I recently got new and matching cell phones!  He has needed a new phone FOREVER and I told him we’d get him one for his birthday.  Then about two days before we were going to go shopping my on/off button broke and I dropped my cell phone in the toilet.  I swear these are unrelated incidents!!  I did not break my phone… although Read more […]

Happy Belated Valentine’s Day everybody!!  From our family to yours.  🙂 Whether you are single or partnered, parent to a human or fur-baby, a friend, child, or sibling, this Hallmark holiday is all about RELATIONSHIPS and LOVE.  Everyone needs, wants, and gives love; what a lovely thing to celebrate! Hi friends!!!  How is everyone doing?  It feels like I’ve been away for decades but it’s only been a week. Bizarre right?  So much has happened that I have no idea where to start.  Bullet points seem like a concise way to share my update, and they’re about all the writing energy I can muster.  I’m currently feeling those depressive Sunday Night Blues and now that the holiday season is over, I want to hibernate until spring.  What is the point of life without friends and family parties and Read more […]

This is my second year ordering our holiday card from Simply To Impress.  I use Shutterfly for EVERYTHING else (calendars, books, prints, and ornaments) but I wanted to try something new for our holiday card.  Simply To Impress had better prices when I first started looking last year and now I plan on using them every holiday season to enjoy those returning customer perks. *Simply To Impress is not compensating me to say nice things about them although I would not be mad if they wanted to start Read more […]

I’m terrible at making obnoxious abbreviations for words and I’m constantly asking The Glue if they work or not.  I’m pretty sure I was OK’d to say “tradish” instead of tradition.  Do you kind of hate it?  Me too.  Let’s continue. I look forward to family traditions year after year.  Growing up we had quite a few around the holidays.  One of my favorites was picking out our real (always had to be real according to The Mother) tree from the grocery store parking lot the day we drove home Read more […]

The Wee One is a special guy.  I know it.  The Scottish knows it.  But even better, our whole extended family knows it!  The Wee One has been so lucky to have met so many of his extended family in the first few weeks of life. I want to remember these moments.  I want them saved on my blog because in my life, there is nothing more important than family.  It’s cliché but true, they make the good parts of life better and the bad parts of life easier.  In our family, we laugh… a lot.  We Read more […]

Pregnant and Camping: You Would Cry Too if it Happen To You

HELLO FRIENDS, GUESS WHAT? I SURVIVED CAMPING, IT WASN’T SO BAD, AND LIFE IS GOOD, NO WAIT, LIFE IS GREAT! OK, I’m done yelling and my apologies because my title is misleading as I didn’t cry much on the trip, but it made me laugh so it stays! I am downright jovial about the fact that I’m done traveling (and moving) and that we’re at the point where we can just wait for baby boy to make his arrival.  I am lucky because camping went so well and was overall uneventful, which is definitely Read more […]

First off, I want to thank you all for your kind words after Monday’s post (even if you didn’t comment but you thought kind words, I’m still thanking you!), it made me feel so much better and a lot less cuckoo crazy.  🙂 The Scottish and I are slowly accomplishing things on our to-do list and I know we’ll get to a comfortable point soon.  We’re looking forward to a three-day weekend of house projects because there just aren’t enough hours in the day.  Next weekend is my MN shower and we’ll Read more […]

Easter this year was amazing!  And weird but mostly amazing.  We definitely missed being with our extended family in North Dakota but when no one’s spring break lined up with Easter this year, we knew we’d be spending it in Minnesota.  With each of us kids having significant others, our immediate family’s grand total comes to 8 people plus two dogs.  Oh and a baby bump of course.  🙂 The Mother decided a sleepover was in order and everyone stayed at their house the day before Easter because Read more […]
